Shilpa Ghatalia

Founder | Lead Instructor

Shilpa Ghatalia, a lifelong student of yoga, became a certified yoga teacher in the Himalayan tradition at Swami Rama’s Institute of Yogic Sciences, USA, in 1997. Guided by Swami Veda Bharati in 1999, she deepened her practice in Raja Yoga Meditation and Yoga Nidra. Over the years, she trained with distinguished teachers including Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in Mindfulness, Sri Ramesh Balsekar in Advaita Vedanta, and Dr. Nagaraj in Pranayama and Ayurveda. Her pursuits also include the Buteyko Method with Patrick Keown, Yin Yoga with Sarah Powers, and Calligraphy Yoga with Master Zen Hua Yang. Inspired by various Hatha Yoga styles such as Iyengar and Anusara, she developed Integrative Yoga—a synthesis of these teachings and over 30 years of experience.

Shilpa is the founder of Yogshakti, a Yoga Alliance-registered school offering 200- and 300-hour teacher training programs locally and internationally.

Florence

Two years ago, after graduating from 200TTC Integrative Yoga, I realized yoga is more than a certification—it’s an art of living. Through mindfulness, I’ve learned to live in the moment, acknowledge imperfection, and transform my body and mind. Breath is the essence of yoga, guiding my ongoing, joyful journey.
